SALUKI BREED NOTES
I have been contacted by Mrs Robin Paisey, Hon Sec of Swansea & DCC to let you know that the Club will be holding their Open Show, judged on the Group system, on 13th February 2016. It is to be held at Neath Sports Centre SA10 7BE, which is located off M4 junction 43 at the Heads of Valleys A465. There will be two Saluki classes which are Graduate and Open. Judging will be Hound specialist Natalie Heathcote (Hyndsight Deerhounds). I believe Natalie recently attending the Northern Saluki Breed Seminar. Sue Finnett will be judging the Hound AVs including Any Variety Puppy and Any Variety Special Veteran, plus the Group. Stake classes and Best in Show will be judged by Jan Pain.

David Hartley emailed us over the holidays to let us know that Jim Hall
(Donsal) died on Boxing Day. Many years ago he showed both Salukis and latterly Chinese Cresteds. He had just turned 81 on the 18th December. The funeral will be completely private asJim did not want a service as such or anyone there so I will conduct a silent reflection and committal for those closest to him.
Memberships are now due for the Northern Saluki Club and the Saluki or Gazelle Hound Club. Yesterday Boston & District Canine Society held their Championship Show. Whilst Salukis were not allocated CCs we did have classes. Judging us was Mrs Dawn Russell. BB,BOB & Hound Group 4 was Mary Sanders Parker’s Ch Khalils Allegra-Classicus (imp SWE) JW, Sh CM with the RBB to Denise Garratt & Sue Oakey’s Cayna Neferti. BD went to Liz Stephens Alsahra Aslam Bedu with RBD & BP to Fernlark by Design owned by Mr KA & Mrs MM Goulden.
