David Hartley, head warden for the Northern Section of Saluki Welfare has sent the following regarding their walk.  “ The Saluki Walk at Earby went well, it didn't rain and everyone was really helpful and generous. A good number of people
had contacted me saying they were unable to come for very good reasons so we ended up with 27 dogs and including helpers about the same number of people.
The event raised £380.35 for SWF funds. I have also been promised donations to come so it might make £400.
Deb's Welfare Stall raised £51 and thanks to gifts went home with more stock than came.

Martina Skadrova and Edoardo Scosta decided to drive to Finland for their holiday this year.  They took with them their Whippet and their Saluki so among other things they could show him in Finland, the country of his birth.  Tazillah Athir Armani attended the Karjaa Show on the 3rd of July and won his Junior Class.  He also beat the winner of the intermediate class and the Open to win BOS and a Finnish CAC.  In total they travelled 10400 kms or 6462 miles.  They had a wonderful holiday.

Buzz Faber has just rung to tell me her puppy, Sufeina Kismet attending the
Evesham Open Show.  The society had scheled 3 classes but she was the lone exhibitor.  Kismet won his class, BOB and Puppy Hound Group 1 .

We, along with other people, have been contacted by Mary Sanders Parker for information regarding our Champions.  It is good news and hopefully in the not too distant future we will see the next edition of The Saluki Book of Champions.

There will be a bring and share luncheon (get together) at the Hound Association.  Co-coordinating is Denise Garratt so if you have any queries regarding this event please contact her.
