David Hartley Chairman of NSC has sent the following note regarding the show “Grateful thanks to everyone who helped to make our Championship Show, held yesterday, a success. Committee members, members and friends pulled together to ensure the smooth running of the proceedings. Special thanks must go to our Secretary John Owen who has all the work, and deals with any issues there might be. He does a tremendous job, sometimes in difficult circumstances.
I don’t think I have ever received so many “Thank you for a wonderful show” comments as I did at the conclusion of our show to-day. The atmosphere was good and sporting throughout and generous applause was given to Salukis placed in each class.
I particularly enjoyed meeting Liz Stevens again as she always reminds me we went to the same Teacher Training College and we both taught all our lives and enjoyed our vocation and despite the aging process, continue to love our dogs, whether they win at shows or not.”

During the lunch break the Club held The Knightellington Stake Classes judged by Ms A Defaye. The Memorial Puppy Stake was won by Mumtaz Fracas Avec Rhumli NAF owned by Tania Stevens.  The Memorial Open Stakes was won by Natasha Hamilton’s Alishamar Roxana (IMP BEL) JW.  The Veteran Stake was won Alexandra Cole’s Jun Ch Voice Of My Heart Neshama Tova (IMP)
