In 2023, The Saluki Club will be holding their Centenary, which we are planning to make a very special affair. To facilitate this we need a logo. So we are asking members of the Club, Salukiphiles, and anyone else that thinks they can help, to come up with a logo. The world is your oyster with what this logo may look like, but we do need reference to Salukis, SGHC and the Centenary or 100 years. Please submit your ideas, even if it is rough form to firstname.lastname@example.org by end of September 2018. At the championship show we will exhibit a copy of the centennial logo.
The SGHC Open Show is being held on Saturday 16th June 2018 at the Dobermann Club Training Showgrounds, Hertford Road, Digswell, Herts AL6 0BU. Traditionally this is our ‘garden party’ show, so not to disappoint we are have a bring and share picnic at the end. Coffee/tea and soft drinks will be available all day from the clubhouse. Contributions of cakes would be most appreciated.
At the show, Helena Haywood will be setting up a display of all the photographs that have been submitted for the SGHC 2019 calendar. Everyone attending the show will have to opportunity to vote for their favorite ones. Helena will be wearing more then one hat as she, along with her grand daughter, Jessica, manning the ‘Welfare stand’. Points trophies winners will be able to pick up their trophies from the ‘Trophy Stand’ ably manned by Caroline and John Owen. We also hope to have a couple of trade stands so there will not be any reason anyone’s dog is not wearing attractive attire. Please come and have a lovely day out. If you are bringing a ‘spectator’ dog check in with the secretary as there will be a 3.00 charge.
