Details for Beryl Payne’s funeral are: Wednesday 21st Sept, 10.00am at Sherwood Forest, Ollerton crematorium, then Thanksgiving service at 11.30am at St John the Evangalist's Church, Carlton in Lindrick. Everyone is invited to either service or both.

Last Friday, Richmond Championship Show was held.  The weather was cool and for the most part the rain stayed away.
Upon entering the showground, at Loseley Park the most remarkable incident was showing our ‘car park’ pass, having it zapped to check it’s authenticity. Luckily we passed.
I have not seen this done at any other show we have attended, ever.  One person I know attended the show for two days, found herself accused of fraud, because the pass would not work on the second day, she then had to pay £10.00, to get into the show where she complained to the secretary and was promptly reimbursed.   My, the lengths we will go to, to avoid fraud.

Judging Salukis for the first time in the UK was Dr Annukka Paloheimo from Finland.  Reading her CV.  I note that she is a Cavalier King Charles specialist and that she was the Group Judge for Toys on Friday.  Some of the Saluki classes were scant with entries but was so pleased to see a wonderful Open Bitch Class of 9.  It was the nicest Open Bitch class I have seen for a while with contestants from Ireland, the Continent and here.    BP,DCC, and  BOB was Jeannette Glaister’s Vanechka Otis S Berega Turi (Imp). He was born on 2nd November 2015 and his breeder is E.A. Potemkina.  His sire is Swe Ch Classicus Khalils Canta and his dam, Multi Ch Kamila Djaal Lhilal with the RDCC to Mr & Mrs KA Goulden’s Fernlark by Design.  BCC went to the winner of the Veteran Class, Kathy Webb’s Ch Al Caliphs Nuray with RBCC to Sue Bounds Ch  Alsahra Lalana.  Well done all!!

A couple of judges for next year.  Nicola Quadling will be judging Windsor 2017.  Welsh Kennel Club will be judged by Nina Neswadba of Showhunter Salukis located in Austria.
