The AGM of the Northern Saluki Club will be held at 1:00pm: in Shirland Village Hall, Shirland, Nr Alfreton, Derbyshire, on Sunday 5th March 2017.  All members will be very welcome.
 
Sheila Stoneman has sent the following: “Eastbourne Canine Society are moving back to South of England Showground for their Open Show, which will be held on Sunday 25th June  They are putting on 350 classes plus four  handling classes with Salukis classes.  Schedules can be obtained from Fossedata.co.uk”
 
Humberside Hound Association will be holding their Open Show on Saturday 15th April 2017 at Costello Stadium, Aniaby Park Road North, Kingston upon Hull HU4 6XQ.  Judging Salukis will be Elaine Sutton  (Elaine Sydney).  She will be coming back from Spain to judge Afghans, Salukis and Sloughis.
There has been an error in the schedule and Elaine has been given 5 classes by mistake; therefore the Limit Class No111 has had to be omitted.

Recently someone asked me what band Salukis are in.  With a little research I discovered it is Band B.  That means dogs/bitches who win first or second in Open Class qualify for a ‘Stud Book’ number. Of course a Challenge Certificate or a Reserve Challenge Certificate will also give you one plus qualifying for a Junior Warrant
