Also, a reminder that the SGHC is holding their 2022 Open Show on Friday 3rd June 2022.  It is being held in conjunction with Southern Counties Canine Association Championship Show.  Judging for the Open Show will not commence before 12.00 following completion of the Championship Show.  Judging at the Open Show will be Simon Burton, judging at SCCS will be breed specialist from Finland Ms S Juutilainen (Wallabys Salukis). So why not make a day of it, supporting our Breed Club at the same time. All member of SGHC will have received a schedule.  Postal entries close on Monday 2nd May (1st Class Post).  On-line entries for both shows can be made at www.fossedata.co.uk.  The Open Show entries close at midnight 15th May, 2022.  Reading & Dist. Canine Society is holding their Open Show on the Wednesday 1st June.  Schedules are available for Fossedata.   It will be the weekend of the Diamond Jubilee so there should be activities available in the area.
 
Our Dogs have posted the current leaders in the Arden Grange competition for Top Dog Awards 2022.  This is calculated from results received up to 3rd April 2022.  There are two dogs vying with both having 5 points. They are Ch Classicus Alchemy For Charrioak and Nicolefarhi  Del Borghino. 
 
In ‘Our Dogs’ this week there is an article on Nowzad  On their website the charity has posted: “Just like you, the team here at Nowzad .have watched at the horror at the events unfolding in Ukraine. We have no words to describe the brutality and needless suffering inflicted upon both the Ukrainian people and its animals. 
The Nowzad charity, with your help, will support and resupply as many Ukrainian rescue shelters and their courageous brave staff who stayed behind to care for the animals who could not be evacuated, as we can.”
They go on to say “We will also use our resources to support other organisations at the Polish border caring for Ukrainians who have evacuated along with their animals with dog crates, food, vaccines and other essential supplies.”  Donations can be made to www.nowzad.com
