Last weekend the Welsh Kennel Club held their Championship Show. In 2021 even though most Championship Show were allowed to go ahead, the Welsh Show Grounds was closed, due to their COVID inoculation program. It must have felt very good to be back running again. Judging Salukis was Mrs Diane Cook. Her DCC, BOB for his third and qualify CC was Steve & Ann Ham’s Aus Ch Crisnick Houdini. He was born on the 30th August 2017. His sire is Ch Baghdad Karim and dam is Aus Ch Baghdad Bint Al Kaliq. RDCC went to Victoria Martin’s Mumtaz Pallas for Stalwart. BCC for her first CC went to Kathrine Williams’ Tigsisle Totally Unique. She was born on 7th February 2017. Her sire was Sufeina Al Ain and her dam Ch Ber Ch Ulmarra Tropical Ice. RBCC & Best Veteran went to her mother Ch/Ber Ch Ulmarra Tropical Ice at Winton VW. Best Puppy was Mary Sanders Parker’s Classicus Felicitas Saluki Welfare has sent their Notice of Annual General Meeting which will be held on Saturday 17th September 2022 from 2pm to 4pm. The meeting will take place at Tomlinson’s Boarding Kennels & Cattery Centre, Upper Grange Farm, Ratby Lane, Markfield, Leicester, LE67 9RJ. There will be teas and coffees available after the meeting. A full AGM pack including agenda and accompanying documents will be provided to all who book to attend. Outline business to be conducted on the day includes financial report, warden’s report, constitution, an election of officers and committee members. The event will be at Hickstead All England Jumping Course, West Sussex BN6 9HS. Gazebos and chairs are recommended. Marie will be providing cutlery and plates. Entries for Richmond Dog Show are quite encouraging with an entry for Neil Stanmore of 42 dogs making 45 entries. Salukis will be judged after 32 Borzois. Judging will commence at 9am. The SGHC Championship Schedules are now available to enter on fossedata. The show will be held at the KC Building on Sunday 16th October 2022.
