We are having a well earned break in the weather with rain but later in the week we are back to the hot weather.
Warnings have gone out, not to walk your dog in the middle of the day and to be careful of the extreme heat as dogs can get burnt feet, sunstroke and all other matters of distresses just like us. Actually our dogs seem to be doing a lot of sleeping during the day and are enjoying to cooler evenings for exercising. They have figured it out.
We understand that Liz Metcalf has had a terrible accident and broken her leg. It was so bad that she had to be air-lifted to the hospital. Ann Lewis has had a reoccurrence of her heart problems and is just home recuperating. Elis Redfern had a fall last weekend and he Is also in the hospital. Not a good week for Saluki people.
The World Dog Show, which is being held in Amsterdam with Salukis (Group 10) on Saturday 11thAugust is not far off and entries for Salukis have been announced. The entry is 127.
