A reminder that the schedule for The Northern Saluki Club Open Show are  available on Higham Press.  It is being held on Sunday 30thSeptember at the Shirland Village Hall, Shirland, Nr Alfreton, Derby.  DE55 6BB. The judge elect is Mrs Rachel Wray. Anyone requiring a schedule please contact the Hon. Secretary Mr J Owen on telephone no. 0115 9305473.  Postal entries close on Saturday 8thSeptember or online at Higham Press.  Their closing day is Wednesday 11thSeptember. 
 
Pauline & Don Everton are looking after the Silent Auction at the SGHC Champ Show.  So if you have Saluki related items or dog related items that you would like to donate to our worthy cause please contact the Evertons on 01799 543383.  All proceeds will go towards the ‘100thAnniversary Funds’
 
The SGHC  ‘Logo’ competition will be closing on the 15thSeptember.  Please submit your drawings, ideas to Nicola Warner at savukawhippets@hotmail.com .  Lastly we still need someone to help out at Discover Dogs on Saturday 20thSeptember at the Excel Centre in London.
 
Last Friday, City of Birmingham held their championship show.  Judging us was Miss E W Newton of Nevedith Whippets.  DCC, BOB for his 2ndCC was Mr G & Mrs S Littlechild’s Classicus Baroque At Ravensett.  RCC went to Mr  & Mrs K A Goulden’s Ch Fernlark By Design JW.  BCC for her 1stCC went to Ms N Warner & Mr B Hetherington’s Canapus Ridinia at Savuka (IMP NDL)  She was born on the 20thApril 2015 and her breeder is Mr F S van Der Drift.  Her sire is Freespirits Aquino and dam Canapus Soley with RBCC to Mrs D Garratt & Miss S Oakey’s Ch Caryna Neferti JW Sh CM.  Best Puppy and 1stin Puppy Hound Group of Dr P Postma & Mr D Smith’s Fernlark Odyssey.  Best Veteran was Mrs Garratt & Miss S Oakey’s Ch Caryna Meilichia Sh CM  Best Junior was Mr S Ham & Mrs A Ham’s Aus Ch Crisnick Houdini (IMP) TAF NAF
