SALUKI BREED NOTES WEEKENDING 8TH APRIL 2016

​Gazelle Hound Club have launched their web site.  It has a new face, lovely photos and information regarding the club’s activities.  Any Club member wishing to post puppy availability will have a chance to post in the  Club’s site.  I am sure the Club would like to hear feedback from readers
 
We attended the AGM of the Saluki Welfare where there was a good turn out.  Retiring from the Fund was the Chairman, Nicola Quadling, Daphne Parham as treasurer and Tania Stevens, southern warden.  They were given a vote of thanks by the attendees of the meeting, for all their hard work.   Trustees shall now be David Hartley (Chairman of NSC) Kathy Webb (Chairman of SGHC) Christopher Lewis and Elaine Rushton.  The new Committee shall be
Chairman, Peter Yardley, Vice Chairman Hillary Davies, Secretary David Crane, and Treasurer Adrian Phillips.  Committee members are Debs Steele, Patsy Fagen, Helena Haywood and Maggie Evens.  Brendan Austin will remain as the editor of ‘Snippets’ the newsletter of the SWF.  One of the ideas that has come forth from the meeting is that the Club members would like to become more involved in the running of the SW.  So from time to time people may be asked to help with moving a dog from place to place or in the vetting of homes.  Also help will be needed in fund raising.  I am sure in the near  future more information will be coming from the SW on their
