Here in the south, we are preparing for yet another ‘heat wave’.  I suspect like 
last year, which was a very hot year, like this year, the weekend the rains
decide to fall was on the weekend of the Hound Club Championship Show,
SGHC Championship Show and two days of lure coursing. The Hound Assoc
had allocated us a very nice outside ring, but with pouring rain we could not use it.
However, but we did have an excellent ring inside, so it did not matter.  Actually
A few people for other breeds commented on how lucky we were to have such 
A good ring.
 
Naomi Cowley show manager for the SGHC has posted the entry for the Club’s
Open show with Elaine Sydney judging. They have a fantastic entry of 53 dogs  
Making an entry of 71.  Judging will take place after the Hound Assoc show.  
There will be catering available at the Barn Café but picnicking is well welcomed.
As per usual these days please bring your own chair. 
 
Janet Steel, Editor of ‘The Saluki’ will be attending with a few new and exciting
Items we are please to offer from the estate of Oonagh Preece.  Also we have
received a box from Anthony Tebbs form the estate of Ernie.  I have not
had a chance to open it up but the most important part is we have the opportunity
to share items from the past. We do not want these items going into landfill.  
 
I am sorry to report that Frank Farrar is unable to Judge at the SGHC upcoming
Show in October.  The next person that was on the voting list was Karin Hedberg,
So, she will be judging us later this year.  Karin was originally supposed to judge us 
In 2028. 
 
This weekend Boston & District Canine Society held their Championship Show.
Awarding Challenge Certificates in Saluki for the first time was Luke Johnston.
BCC, BOB was Mary Sanders Parker’ s Ch Heart and Soul jp Nashwa 
Classicus (IMP JPN) with RBCC, Best Veteran to Judith Ayrton’s Ch Chisobee
Faa Ig Farraar of Allievo.  DCC went to Ms J Stenson’s Ch Micattura All for
Me with RDCC to Mary Sanders Parker’s Heart & Soul jp Northern Dancer
At Classicus (IMP JPN).  Best Puppy was Graham and Sharon Littlechild’s Allievo Faa ig Rashuqa.
