Another hot week.  Our dogs are not silly, they stay in the house until the evening,
than out to play.  As it has been so hot and dry, we have no grass but the girls
love to lay in the what was grass.  So everyday we have a pile of hay in the kitchen 
to sweep up.  Before long the monsoon season will start leaving us moaning about the rain.  
 
This week is Paignton show.  Salukis are being judged after 125 Whippets so a long day awaiting our turn. The weather is predicted to be 25C and sunny.  It is a benched show so there will be shade.  Good luck to all that are making the journey.  Interesting, a few days later Bournemouth will be holding their championship show.  The entry for judge Jenny Dove is 13.  Quite similar to Paignton except being last in the Paignton ring we will be in the Bournemouth ring at 9am.  
 
Last Friday Leeds held their Championship Show. Judging Salukis with CCs for the
First time was Mr Mark Ord.  The entry number which on paper appeared to be quite good but, on the day, it was marred with 8 absentees. That was practically 25%.  
DCC, BOB was Cathy Harding & Naomi Cowling’s Ch Classicus Odysseus At Ashahni with RDCC & Best Puppy to Judith Ayrton’s Allievo Faa ig Raa’l’ah.  BCC went of Mary Sanders Parker’s Ch Heart & Soul Jp Nashwa Classicus JW IMP) with RBCC & Best Veteran to Judith Ayrton’s Ch Chisobee Faa lg Farraar of Allievo.

A reminder to all to enter South Eastern Hound Club show on Sunday 6th September.  Our judge is Judith Aryton
a Saluki Breed Specialist.  There is a new special class for SEHC Open Racing/ Lure coursing.  After judging
we will be having a bring and share picnic.  It is really a highlight of the long summer season.  Very much
