Last Sunday it was the turn of Richmond Championship Show. When arriving at the showground, we thought we were lost, as we were being sent to the marque with the Pastoral dogs, where normally we are with the other hound breeds. All was resolved when we saw the German Shepherds were in the ring before us as planned in the Richmond schedule then after a small stake class we were in. As it happened, it was lucky ring 7, as the Saluki BOB won the Hound Group with the BOB German Shephard winning the Pastoral Group then on to BIS. Lucky ring 7 Judging Salukis was hound specialist from Ireland, Marion Finney. DCC, BOB went to Linda Aldous & Jeannette Glaister’s Ch Jay JP Sea Bird El Panjsher JW (IMP) who later won the Hound Group under Di Cook. RDCC went to Cathy Harding & Naomi Cowley’s Ch Classicus Odysseus. For the third week in a row, the BCC, became a champion, namely Denise Garratt & Sharon Oakey’s Caryna Esperanza. She was born on 17 February 2019 and her breeders are her exhibitors. Her sire is Caryna Eris and her dam Ch Caryna Neferti JW. RBCC went to Natasha Hamilton’s Lux Ch Int Ch Alishamar Roxane (IMP BEL) JW. Best Puppy was Freya Wickstead and Mark Cannon’s Caryna Stephano To Abayomi. Best Veteran went to Denise Garratt & Sharon Oakey’s Ch Caryna Neferti JW Sh CM who went on to win Veteran Hound Group 4. Best Special Beginner went to Annette Schafer’s Tin Soldier. Well done all!!
