This show will be held in the smaller of the two halls at the KC building.  Judging will start at 9.30 am, followed by the bitches (I assume that means we will be having just one ring)

Helena Haywood will be manning the Welfare stall.  All donation for the tombola will be gratefully accepted.  There will also be a ‘Silent Auction’ with proceeds  to go towards Cub funds.  Offers of items with Saluki orientation or otherwise would be appreciated.  If you would like to donate please contact Pauline & Don Everton 01799 543383.  Hot and cold food will be available all day.

Claire Jowitt has sent the following: “On Sunday 27th August at the Horley & District Open Show under breed specialist Judge Peter Jackson-Main Canapus Mistique under Barleymoon was awarded the Saluki Best of Breed and, her daughter, Barlymoon Ankaa was awarded the Reserve Best of Breed.”

Christine Harrison has had to have surgery for a knee that was mis-behaving.  She is now out of the hospital and hopefully on the road to recovery.  Hope all goes well and we will see you back in the ring, soon.

On Friday, City of Birmingham held their Championship Show.  Judging Salukis was Pam Marston-Pollock.  DCC, BOB went to the Goulden’s Ch Fernlark by Design JW with the RDCC to Adele Haddon’s Amal Hayati Ohdedar El Azizi Fuadi of Ilsham.  BCC for her first CC went to our own Al Zubeyda Lena at Kasaque (IMP FRA)  She was bred by Mr Jean-Luc Lemouzy.  Her sire is Multi Ch Showhunters Aristokrat  and her dam is Int Ch Al Zubeyda Fawziah.  RBCC went to the Garratt, Oakey, Owen partnership with Glenoak Lunah for Caryna.  She also placed 4th in the Hound Junior Group.  Best Puppy was Katherine Williams’s Tigsisle Totally Unique.  Best Veteran and winner of the Veteran Hound Group was Garratt & Oakey’s Ch Caryna Meilichia Sh CM.  Well done all.

Results are in for the ‘Natural Instinct’ sponsored Top Puppies.  Top Saluki Puppy is Canerikie Catalina owned by Josh Duddell & Brian Mansell.  She looks like the Top Hound Puppy tied with a Miniature Long haired Dachshund.  Top Breeder award goes to Sheryl Steer (Arden Grange).  Top Dog is Fernlark Schussboomer (Arden Grange)
